Former England midfielder Joe Cole has advised Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford to keep positive body language even in bad times and everything will be fine.

Rashford’s poor performance last season saw him dropped from the Three Lions squad for Euro 2024 amid heavy criticism from both senior players from his former club ยูฟ่าเบท

and former players who have become pundits.

However, he recently scored his first goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Southampton, and Cole was impressed by Rashford’s performance and offered advice on how to deal with the negative criticism.

“There’s no doubt about how much Manchester United means to him, how much playing football means to him,” Cole told TNT Sports.

“I think the important thing for him is when things aren’t going well, to use good, positive body language. Don’t let too much make people think we’re down.”

“That’s what criticism is, but body language definitely helps. When you score a goal, people will be quiet. It’s as simple as that. If you’re a striker, every striker knows that.”

“But it will help him. He’s at an age where he has to fix that because he’s a grown-up now, especially at this club. He’s an icon for the club. I want to see that from him and I think it will help his overall form.”
